Cara Pratt-Fleming

Cara Pratt-Fleming

Associate Attorney
Springfield, Illinois
Cara joined Linder Law Office in November of 2016. Prior to her arrival, she had primarily practiced family law for six years in Sangamon, Christian, and other surrounding counties. Cara’s practice focuses primarily on family law, including dissolution of marriage, allocation of parenting responsibilities (formerly custody and visitation), paternity, guardianships of minors, adoption and child support. She is also a court approved Guardian ad Litem for the Fourth and Seventh Judicial Circuits and a licensed Mediator for domestic cases.

Cara graduated Magna Cum Laude from Illinois College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a minor in Business Administration. During her time in undergraduate, she participated in several school organizations while working one to three jobs at a time. After graduation, Cara attended Saint Louis University School of Law, graduating in January 2010. While in law school, Cara participated in the SLU Legal Clinic’s Juvenile Division working on cases such as sexual abuse, armed robbery, theft, homicide, and truancy. Through the Clinic, she also worked in conjunction with the Missouri Clemency Coalition Project, seeking the release of women who had been victims of severe domestic violence, yet had not had the benefit of being able to present evidence of years of abuse to the jury during their trial, despite the recognition of “battered woman syndrome.”

Today, Cara resides in Sangamon County with her husband and two children. She firmly believes that the best part of her profession is the feeling of knowing that you are able to help people through some of their most difficult times. She understands what is necessary to smoothly handle the most complex family cases from start to finish, and prides herself on providing exceptional professional service.
